How to get there?
International Airport - PTY Panam City Tocumen
To come:
- by shared transfer (4x4 + speed boat) : it leaves everyday at 5am from Panama City and/or airport for a 2,5-hour drive through the Guna Yala Comarca, which is an autonomous indigenous territory (entrance fee is included as well). Around 8am, you will be reaching the port named Carti to onboard a speed boat for a 2-hour ride to reach the area where the islands are. You will be on the sailboat by 10am. In case you arrive in the afternoon at Panama City, you can get a private transfer or stay a night to catch the shared transfer the next morning.
- by private transfer (4x4 + speed boat) : same route as above. Flexible times.
- by airplane : small airplane flying directly into Nargana Airport, a 45-minute flight from Panama City. Flexible times, luggage limited. The sailboat will pick you up directly from the airport.
To leave :
- by shared transfer (speed boat + 4x4) : departure at 7am from the sailboat. 2h speed boat to the port Carti, 2h drive back to Panama City, where you will be by 1pm.
- by private transfer (speed boat + 4x4) : same route as above. Flexible time.
- by airplane : Flexible times.
